Did Ma$e and Diddy finally squash their beef regarding the rapper’s publishing?
According to Cam’ron, they have. On Wednesday (August 30), Killa Cam hopped on IG to congratulate Murda Mase for “[getting] his publishing back from Puff.”
The deal was supposedly settled earlier this week, according to Cam’s post. Ma$e must be cheesing now ‘cause the “Welcome Back” rapper has been trying to buy back his publishing from Puff for a minute.
For the past several years, Ma$e has been publicly throwing shots at Diddy for finessing him out of his publishing for 20 bands. But their beef boiled over in 2020, after Puff gave a speech at pre-Grammy party — a speech in which the music mogul called out the Recording Academy for fronting on Black Hip Hop and R&B artists.
After catching wind of the speech, Ma$e was basically like, “Wait, what? A’int that the pot calling the kettle black?” The speech had Ma$e tight AF, so much so that the Harlem native hopped on IG and started throwing hella shots at Diddy. In an IG post, Murda Mase basically said Diddy was wrong for (1) finessing him out of his publishing for 20 bands, and (2) refusing an offer to buy it back for $2 mil.
If Ma$e did get his publishing back from Puff, this would be the rapper’s second major win over the past several weeks. Earlier this month, Ma$e and Cam announced that they struck an 8-figure deal for their sports talk show, “It Is What It Is.”
