On July 12, 2020, Officer Sandra Cabral of the LAPD had responded to a “shots fired” incident where she found a panicked and frantic woman on the scene who was noticibly injured. Tory Lanez, (28) Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, faced one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, concealed firearm in a vehicle.
He rode in a Suburban SUV through Hollywood hills, where he was later found intoxicated on sight and charged with shooting fellow musician Megan Thee Stallion (25) in the foot while she exited his car after a heated argument. A firearm was found under his seat that was still warm to the touch. Lanez allegedly yelled “Dance b****” at Meg before firing at her according to LAPD’s Detective, Ryan Stogner. The shots fired toward her ultimately left her wounded.
Meg, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, was identified as “Megan P” on the criminal complaint. She talked about the incident in August of 2020 on an Instagram live rant saying the incident was “Super scary”. She had also posted but later deleted, a picture of her wounded foot on social media for her fans to see, but didn’t mention who was responsible. Tory still seems to be unbothered by the situation.
