NBA Youngboy is one of the hottest rappers in the game right now! It’s undeniable that his songs are absolute bangers and his eerie, melodic vocal style will definitely have you hype. But Success rarely comes easy and NBA Youngboy, aka “Never Broke Again” Youngboy has experienced things you and I could only imagine. The streets of Baton Rouge, Louisiana brought NBA Youngboy a slew of hardships. And from there, his encounters with the law have only escalated. You’re in for a wild ride! Because today, we’re digging deep into the criminal history of NBA youngboy.

From the humble streets of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kentrell Gaulden aka NBA Youngboy had early exposure to difficulties. Dropping out of 9th grade of focusing on his rap career was definitely a brash decision. A brash decision that I’m sure he must have regretted shortly after because he was soon arrested for robbery and sent to a detention center in Tallulah, Louisiana. Not a hot start, I know…but he stayed focused on the goal. He used his time in the detention center productively, and started writing lyrics for his debut project. His mixtape “Life Before Fame” dropped in 2015, followed by “Mind of a Menace” “Mind of a MEnace 2” and “Before I Go”. With his fame on the rise, NBA Youngboy continued to drop hit after hit. Even beef with local Baton Rouge rapper Scotty Cain seemed to only boost NBA Youngboy’s rep.

Legal Trouble

In December of 2016, NBA Youngboy was arrested in Austin, Texas, on suspicion of attempted first degree murder, connected with an elleged drive-by shooting. Reports claim that NBA Youngboy was one of three passengers connected to a drive-by shooting in the 2000 block of Kentucky street on November 2, 2016. NBA Youngboy was transported back to Louisina and booked into the Baton ROuge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $200,000

Fast forward to February 15, 2018 and NBA Youngboy is being arrested before a concert at The Moon nightclub in Tallahasse. Gaulden had a warrant in the State of Georgia for allegedly committing assault, weapons violations and kidnapping. Kidnapping?! Now that’s wild!

Hotel surveillance footage leaked shortly following his arrest showing Gaulden assaulting someone. On March 15, 2018, he was released from prison on $75,000 bail.

NBA Youngboy was out on probation due to a shooting that happened in Miami that involved him and his girlfriend, killing an innocent man, which violated his probation and was incarcerated for three months He was required to do probation for 14 months. On December 13, 2019, the judge officially terminated Gaulden’s probation for two counts of attempted murder. He is currently living in los angeles, and is on a plea deal for the case that he has against his ex-girlfriend Jania.

On September 28, 2020, Gaulden was among 16 people arrested in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on various charges, including distribution and manufacturing of drugs and possession of stolen firearms.
